Ruston Way and Vlog

Ruston way in Tacoma Washington has some nice views and a really nice sidewalk that goes along the water. This summer, I spent some fun days out there with the family near Point Defiance, despite Owen's Beach being closed for upgrades. Hopefully it will be open this upcoming summer :)

I have a Youtube channel if anyone wants to know me more, with a vlog and some gaming vids, but mostly I just do the vlog now a days. This blog is more for pics as I take walks and if that is all you are interested in, that is totally fine, and you are welcome to enjoy the scenery, but in case someone was curious,

Sunset at the Waterfront

Caught this sunset piercing the sky a little while back. Watching into nightfall was beautiful; the effect was stunning and worth gazing upon.

West Seattle

I walk a lot in West Seattle. The skyline is awesome in all directions and there is always a lot to admire, from sea lions and harbor seals to wild fowl and bald eagles, and even the art and people. The Olympics are to one side and Mt. Rainier is to the other, with Seattle shimmering across the water, and giant tree covered hills along the other side of the street.

Jack Block Park in September

There is this little park I like to visit from time to time called Jack Block park in West Seattle. The first time I took my nephews there was back in September and the day was bright and lovely. There are parts of it blocked off, and you have to go along a little trail to get to the beach, but it was a fun day making tie die shirts and having a picnic. I showed them how to skip rocks and they waded in the water, laughing and splashing and burying their feet, despite the pebbles.

Mount Rainier Paradise

Went hiking in July at Mt. Rainier. Was a perfect day, beautiful flowers in bloom and the weather accommodating. We hiked at Paradise all the way up to the base of the snow cap.

Greyland Beach at the end of Summer

Went here in August with the family. I love hiking and nature and just want to post pics of such things. The water was chilly, but nice to walk in and there were tons of wildlife. Crabs scuttling along the water under the surface, gooey duck holes, birds and sand dollars. And of course, humans picnicking and flying kites :)

City New Years Night

We went out to watch the space needle fireworks on New Years Eve, and the fireworks I didn't take an...
