We went out to watch the space needle fireworks on New Years Eve, and the fireworks I didn't take any pictures of, but the city all aglow was really nice. Walking there to a little beach with family and just enjoying the moment with so many others from the community, us all cheering and calling out "Happy New Year" in rounds at each other, it was all very optimistic and warm feeling despite the chilly night air. It was energizing.

Wildlife Habitat
Was such perfect weather and such a nice day. The birds chirped and sang everywhere while I walked out in Bellevue today.

Another Waterfront Sunset
Another walk along the water and even into the park with the sun setting and then the city at night after the sun has set. I really love all the contrasts on walks like this. Some days I only walk like, an hour or two, but some days, I walk 5 hours, and this is part of why. It is just so lovely.

Jack Block in October again
I don't know why, but when I was walking in Jack Block Park during October, I was just as interested in the rocks and logs as I was the harbor seal swimming just off the beach. I usually am looking at wildlife and scenery, but on this day I was just fascinated by all the things that work together to form the scenery. Even though the sky was all golden and glowing from the sun setting earlier in the day than before.

Waterfront Birds
Walked along the waterfront in October and caught some pics of some birds. It started sunny and got more cloudy as I walked home. Usually I take vids/pics of sea lions and harbor seals, but for some reason on this day it was all about the birds :D

Jack Block in October
Jack Block Park, one of my places I go around once a month, back in October. I like the quiet little beach there and the way the pebbles shift under my feet when walking. Plus, I usually find little collections people leave on the logs there.

Under Seattle
Bill Speidel's Underground Tours, was really fun for my birthday this year, back in October. We didn't have to worry about rain or anything, because almost all the tour was underground, in the parts of the city left over from after the big fire that burned down the city long ago. Most of it was built over 120 years ago, and it was a nice trip through history with some silly puns and education mixed together. There was so much more to see than I took pics of, but prob my favorite part was when we walked on the streets earlier, I saw these purple squares that were neat enough I took a pic of them, and then in tour, we were under the same exact amethyst squares! Very cool :)
